It is funny but it hurts.

This morning Ds was trying to squash himself behind the sign posts that hold up one of the signs at school.
He got stuck and as I had already got him out once, I stomped over, pulled him out and.....stood up and whacked my head on the edge of the sign.

It is really really sore still, have a slight lump and a big red line, but feel a bit wishy washy too and if I bend down my head really throbs.

I am such an idiot....next time Ds can stay stuck.

oh nutcracker - I am so trying to be serious here and not laugh. Can't help thinking that you are really and truely living up to your Mumsnet name!!!!
On a more serious note - I hope you recover soon!

Dd's wearing a sticker that says "please keep an eye on me, I have bumped my head today"

Perhaps you should put one on, nutcracker

LOL, I know, I felt like such a twit too, although I was very good because I didn't swear.

Where abouts have you hit your head exactly?

I recently fell and hit my head, very close to my eye. I did have it checked out when the DS's were checked over (long story) They suspected I'd fractured it, but didn't Xray because 1) I was pregnant at the time and 2) I don't think they like to xray heads.

Anyway, I was told if you are sick, loose conciousness then to get it checked out.

It's nine weeks now since my fall and I still have a lovely little pea size lump on the side of my head!

I really hope you're alright.

nutcracker · 26/01/2007 17:13

It's the left hand side of my head, just below my hair line.

poor nutty .. just keep an eye on it .. if you start getting visual disturbances or puking (more than 3 times) then I'd get it seen .

Thanks all.

Will choose somewhere else to stand in the playground from now on
