Tight throat

Is it anxiety or something else?
My throat is so tight it hurts
I have taken painkillers to try and ease it

I had a feeling of a lump on one side and it was diagnosed as anxiety.
It was really painful.
Are you coughing?

No coughing
Have had a few episodes that were the same, comes on suddenly.

If it comes on when you are stressed then I would say anxiety, but go see your gp.

I only started to experience it when I was going through a really stressful time a few years ago, but now when I am upset it comes on

Is this how you are feeling?

I wouldn't say I felt stressed when it came on but I can think of a potential mental trigger which may have subconsciously brought it on.

Coincidencely my ibs is flaring up too.
