Hi some of you remember I posted on here about the possibility that I had a subarachnoid hemorrage a few weeks ago. Many thanks for all the advice! Anyway I have eventually had my appointment through for an MRI, however I am a bit concerned about my copper coil. Will this be ok?

I had an MRI last yeare done with the Mirena in, don't know if that's any help.

As long as a prosthesis has been in for at least a couple of months it's fine. People have MRI scans with false hips/knees etc

Yes, copper isn't affected by the magnetic field - doesn't matter how long its been in

I gave a crown . They said that was OK. I have a coil too but the scan was on my head and neck so should be fine

Best to let them know so they can be certain whether or not it's an issue.
