Yes i am and we document it in more detail than that even- cervix central, posterior, 75% effaced, and well applied (or loosely applied ! to cephalic presenting part !
Cervixes are amazing you know

belgianmama · 25/01/2007 17:45

You use percentages to describe effacement? We use cms. I suppose I only know how we do things in the trust I'm training. (I'm a nearly qualified midwife: 4m to go and getting very scared!)

sleepymumof3 · 25/01/2007 17:53

Good luck !
I love my job and i hope you do to.

belgianmama · 25/01/2007 18:05

I hope so too. I'm hating the training at the moment, but I think it's the pressure of portfolios and final assessments looming rather than midwifery itself. Can't wait to be able to go part time and finally spend some more time with my family!

DimpledThighs · 25/01/2007 18:53

maybe it's shy.

Mine points backwards - mystery to me too!
