What is this & should I bother the GP?

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a fingernail had turned slightly pitted - the surface is no longer smooth and has tiny dents all over the nail surface.

This week I've noticed three other fingers on the other hand are going the same way, the nail towards the bed has changed to be pitted so I expect the whole nail will turn pitted as it grows out.

This is not normal for me, I've never seen my nails do this. Has anyone else had this? Is it something I can bother my GP about?

I know I shouldn't but Dr Google tells me it could be all manner of things, the simplest being indicative of psoriasis (which I don't have, just occasional mild excema).

I can't take a high enough quality photo to attach, sorry.

I'd say it's worth a visit to your GP. Changes in your nails can be indicative of wider health issues.
