if one of your dc had red spots but no other symptoms and seemed fine in themselves, would you go to the docs?

ds (20mo) has red spots - 4 or 5 on one hip/buttock and a couple of others dotted around (back, arm)

maybe bites? but odd that they're where his nappy/bodysuit would be - how would the litle blighters (whatever blighters they may be) get to him there?

no, thats how both mine started with chicken pox and our surgery is packed full of pregnnat women and newborn babies, if its just bites there will be no change over night, if not there will be more and some wil be fluid filled

Tutter · 24/01/2007 19:32

They can get anywhere! Do you have a cat?

thanks all

no, don't have a cat

we recently moved into a rented house but the owners don't have pets either. previous owners had a dog but that was 18 months ago - surely they don't survive that long?

i'm pg - is that an issue if it is in fact chicken pox?

OP posts:
mrsnoah · 24/01/2007 20:16

Yes. I think they can hibernate in the carpet until a juicy family move in to nibble. Sorry to gross you out!

Not sure about the chicken pox aspect/you being pg. There are riskier times than others. Has he been poorly first before the spots appeared?

Tutter · 24/01/2007 20:29

euw

the owners had the carpets cleaned (allegedly) before we moved in

can the critters survive even that?

sounds like cp . Only an issue if you have never had it or are near delivery.

mrsnoah · 24/01/2007 20:34

Oh I dont know actually.
(whispers- Yes they can survive everything inc Rentokil)
Have had a few incidents with fleas here and they are repulsive things!

mrsnoah · 24/01/2007 20:35

Borrow a cat for a day.

they may all hop on and go live with them!
