Lyme Disease?

I got bitten by something when I was out walking my dogs on Friday night, thought it was probably a midge or mosquito, but instead of a raised lump which is my usual reaction to those, a circular rash has appeared and is not improving despite applying Savlon twice daily.

I have attached a picture and although it is not the characteristic "bulls eye" it does look a bit like some pictures on Google images of a Lyme rash. I didn't see a tick and I haven't found any on my dogs. Is it worth making an appointment?

The one thing I do know about Lyme Disease is that early diagnosis is key to treating it. If it's left, then the effects can be devastating.

Google Yolanda Foster (who has featured on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and is mother to the models Gigi and Bella Hadid) and she has had a highly-publicised battle with Lyme for years now.

But get it checked, and hopefully ruled out.

If you google bullseye rash and lymes disease you'll see the typical reaction to a Lyme infected tick bite. I only know this because my toddler got it a couple of summers ago and it took a long time to find someone who recognised it SadAngryby which point she was showing juvenile arthritis symptoms and living on calpol Sad. The ring of rash will slowly spread out and out until it disappears over I would say a couple of weeks. Hth

My son got bit by a tick last week, think it had been there for 36 hours before he discovered it. Four days later he became quite unwell, although no rash. Our doctor started him on Doxycycline and he had a blood test done.

I do hope you have seen your doctor.

I managed to get an appointment and my GP thinks it is eczema, I have cream and hopefully that should clear it up. Thanks for all the help everyone.
