Try not to panic noddy5 (easier said than done i know.)
I had something simillar a while back, was sent to the hospital for tests scans etc.
It turned out that i had a cervical errosion (a patch of rawness near the cervix that bleeds easily.)
This is nothing major, and for me was caused because at the time i was on the pill.
Best to get it checked out though. XXX

They did a ultra-sound, the same as you have when you are pregnant, blood tests, and i had to keep a diary of when i was bleeding etc. Nothing too bad!
When they found out what it was, (they also found out my hormone levels were all over the place,) They put me on a different type of pill, to sort out my hormones.
The cervical errosion, well there is not much they can do about it. It is nothing to worry about, and i had it for about ten Years, with no ill effects.
It went on its own when i came off the pill. Are you on the pill noddy5 (you don't have to answer if you don't want!)
It's just that i was told that it is a very common side effect of the pill.
You are doing the right thing getting checked out. I am just trying to let you know that in most cases it is nothing to worry about.
Please let me know how you get on. XX

Could be you've got a bit of a prolapse and they'll just have you do loads of pelvic floor exercises.

noddy5 · 04/06/2004 16:48

Agy could that cause bleeding?

I've bled after sex sometimes Noddy, as a result of my prolapse - but its just a few spots
