Tonsillectomy

Hi, I'm booked in for a tonsillectomy tomorrow... Any experiences ? Good and bad? Just wondering what to expect and recovery time etc Tia.

Had mine done nine years ago. Was out if hospital after one night after eating and drinking. Was off work for two weeks and codeine did the trick for pain relief. I got an infection which was just like having tonsillitis. Antibiotics cleared it up. I've not looked back since.
