has anyone else sailed through the MMR?

DS2 has MMR this afternoon. I'm not really worried about it though I'm aware of the post-jab symptoms to look out for.
When DS1 had his he had no sypmtoms at all, not even a sniffle
Just wondering if it's common for children to not be affected at all, as all I hear about are the stories of the poor little ones who have had a rough time with fevers and rashes.

DD1 did.

izzybiz · 22/01/2007 15:52

Both of mine were fine.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 22/01/2007 15:52

ds was fine too. just a bit bruised.

Bucketsofdynomite · 22/01/2007 16:01

Yup, neither of mine cried for more than a minute for the first ones and dd just had her boosters and was fine as soon as she got a sticker.

Stargazer · 22/01/2007 16:02

Hi Hippmummy - both DS (11) and DD (5) had their MMR with very few problems afterwards. Both had mild temps, but other than that - fine.

TrinityRhino · 22/01/2007 16:02

dd1 had a slight temp which was totally sorted wiht one dose of calpol and a cuddle

dd2 didn't have anything at all

hana · 22/01/2007 16:02

dd1 and 2 were fine, no signs of any symptoms at all

mosschops30 · 22/01/2007 16:03

both of mine were fine but I gave calpol anyway to combat any unwanted fevers

belgo · 22/01/2007 16:03

My dds were fine. Maybe a slight temperature

USAUKMum · 22/01/2007 16:10

Both my DS & DD were fine after the MMR. DD was fine after the booster. Gave Calpol just in case though (only 1 dose)

pianist · 22/01/2007 16:20

Alway worried about whether I was doing the right thing re jabs, but neither of mine ever had any reaction to any of them.

VoluptuaGoodshag · 22/01/2007 16:23

Totally fine for both

sleepyted · 22/01/2007 16:29

No problems here.

wotzsaname · 22/01/2007 16:33

motherinferior · 22/01/2007 16:34

speedymama · 22/01/2007 16:40

PinkTulips · 22/01/2007 16:53

domesticslobess · 22/01/2007 17:22

DD had slight temperature.
DS had no symptons.

KathyMCMLXXII · 22/01/2007 17:40

no probs at all

Whizzz · 22/01/2007 17:42

no probs for DS (now 6)

mummydear · 22/01/2007 17:50

Absolutely fine for both DS, DS1 only had an off day about 10 days afterwards, maybe related may be not.

they both had the MMR booster and pre school jabs at the same time , so double whammy , but still no problems.

You and DS will be fine nothing that chocolate buttons and TLC won't sort out .

hippmummy · 22/01/2007 20:50

thanks for replies x

DS2 had his jab this afternoon. To my amazement he didnt make a sound when the needle went in - I wasn't sure the nurse had even done it!

I'm hoping he's going to have it as easy as his brother did
