Has anybody's lo experienced an allergic reaction to Epaderm?

ds was diagnosed with eczema and the doctor prescribed epaderm. Have used it for 3 days and ds suddenly has a rash on all of his stomach. Not sure whether it's related to the cream or a reaction to something else. It defo looks like an allergic rash (i.e. what I get when I'm on the wrong ab's). There's a little reddening on the back but arms and legs are o.k. and there is a few spots on his face, but he's very snotty so I think that's from that

Any insights? Shall probably take him to GP today if the rash doesn't fade as I need him cleared as non-contagious before taking him to nursery tomorrow

TIA

My DD didn't react very well to epaderm. It's actually got sodium laureth sulphate in and petrolium products which are known irritants. I have been prescribed all sorts of things that don't work, most of which contain pretty harsh synthetic ingrediants. Try and go natural, if it's just dry you could try sunflower oil but if it's inflamed perhaps a bit of the steroid to get it under control and then something natural. I've been using shea butter and natural creams from this website. No harsh synthetic ingredients. www.theremustbeabetterway.com

thanks gingerninja (love the name!)
Have tried olive oil on ds but he hated it because he thought he was dirty Also tried a oil gel with chamomilla (Johnsons I think) but that made it worse. Been to GP and he reckons it's viral. But then again that particular doc there put most things down to viral. I'll keep a close eye on ds and see what happens.
