Is it common to get knee/upper shin cramps after an ankle sprain? I get them normally in my upper shin when im laying down or when i wake up. I can still walk and run normally but i have health anxiety and i need to get rid of them asap

Yes it's pretty common as you have probably been walking with a strange gait to avoid pressure on your ankle which means that your knee and possibly hip have been out of alignment.

May also be worth seeing a physio to get some exercises to strengthen the lower leg muscles that support your ankle
