My mums sister

She's only 45 and has been told that it's too big to remove. She's having a biopsy on Wednesday and we will know more then.

She suffered domestic violence at the hands of my uncle for 15 years, repeated mental and physical abuse. She finally left him, met a lovely man who she has now married.

She has 3 children and 4 grandchildren, Her 2 oldest daughters are like sisters to me and our children are really close.

My mother is in bits, she's taken time off work and is up the hosptial with her all the time.

Dont know why I'm writing this, none of you know her but I cant talk to anyone in RL about it really. Everyone is too upset and my boyfriend just hugs me a lot.

Why is life so shit sometimes?

very sorry to hear that.you have had such a lot of ill health and stress to deal with ..

mummylin2495 · 19/01/2007 21:37

m gran had a brain tumour when she was 62 yrs old ,the excellent treatment they gave her ensured she lived nearly another 20 yrs so dont give up any hope.

WelshBoris · 19/01/2007 21:38

I'm OK lulu, just worried for my mum and my cousins. We are a very close family and my mum and auntie are best friends as well as sisters.

Once they do the biopsy we will know if she can have radio/chemotherapy.

cerys · 19/01/2007 21:53

they are 6,4 and 2! Two DDs and a DS, so I am now a SAHM and my life is quite busy

WelshBoris · 19/01/2007 21:59

My DD is 2, when it gets warmer we should meet up in Singelton Park. I think detentionggrl is in Swansea aswell.

Anyway, off to bed now. They have let my auntie come home for weekend leave. The drugs she is on to stop her fitting are making her vomit but she said she is going to try and keep at least one double vodka and coke down.

OP posts:
cerys · 19/01/2007 22:02

yes, I'd like to meet up. If it ever stops raining!

Glad your auntie is home, but sorry she's feeling rough. LOL at the vodka and coke!

bogie · 19/01/2007 22:05

(((((hugs)))) my nephew who is 2 has been diagnosed with the same thing in march so iknow how it feels he cant have radiotherpy because he is too young but hes hanging on at the minuet xx

evamum · 19/01/2007 22:21

for you WB.

My cousin had a brain tumour about 15 years ago, and is absolutely fine now, don't think the worst.

ps. I'm in Swansea too, so virtual wave from the 'Westside'

cerys · 20/01/2007 20:53

How are you today WB? And how is your brave auntie?

WelshBoris · 20/01/2007 20:54

She's OK. Her granddaughter is being christened in Feb and she still wants it to go ahead, she's being really positive about things.
Just got to wait for the biopsy results.

How are you? Weather is pants in Swansea today

OP posts:
cerys · 20/01/2007 21:02

I am OK thanks. Children all asleep at last The weather has gone a bit grim again now - it was nice this morning but I was at a party with DD2 and DH was out with the other 2, so we didn't make the most of the sunshine.

Glad your auntie is being so positive.

Is it OK if I CAT you?

Sorry to hear about your Auntie WB. I hope she's enjoying her weekend at home.

Bogle - awful for you too. What can they do for 2yo's?

WelshBoris · 30/01/2007 19:53

Good news {for a change}

She has the biopsy, it went well. She has to have radiotherapy but the doctors are confident
