Recurrent Blackhead? Is that a thing?

For the past few years (at least 4) I've had a blackhead type spot on my back just above my waistline.
When squeezed (very painful!) A hard substance comes out (sorry for tmi)
Is this normal? Do I need to mention it next time I am at the Dr?
Is there something I can do to stop it returning?
Thanks!

Sounds like a sebaceous cyst. I have a small one between my boobs. Rather satisfying to squeeze.

It won't go away unless the cyst casing is removed, but if it's small and causing no discomfort, there's no urgent reason to remove it.

I think sometimes they do recurr like this. It's like you leave a gap when you get it out, and then it fills up with sebum again and becomes a blackhead. I don't think it's anything to worry about, and AFAIK nothing you can do to stop it, but by all means mention it to doc to put your mind at rest.

You should see some of the big buggers in the sporner threads, btw Shock

There's posters on Sporners would pay for that.

Smile Oh it's no monster (like the ones on YouTube) but it's irritating. Never thought it would be a cyst! Thanks x
