Has anyone in the Cambridge area had this operation within the last year and was mesh used? has it been successful ? I am considering having to give in, finally, and have my prolapse repaired but have been reading up on the mesh method and there are some alarming reports about 'erosion into the surrounding organs' causing severe complications. I understand there is an alternative method called the Burch method which uses your own tissue. I am considering using one of the surgeons at the Spire in Impington. Any advice would be gratefully received.
