Shingles

Is it meant to hurt so much and Sting like sunburn. Also I have no rash yet, is this normal of shingles or can you have shingles without the rash. I have been to docs and have nerve medication but this is not touching the pain so will need to go back.

Mine really hurt I've had it twice!
I got pain before the rash both times.
Even a couple of years on, my scars still hurt every now and again.

Yes hurt to move, couldn't wear a bra for a week as mine was right down the centre of my back.
