do you pop blisters ?

I've got a big unsightly one on my heel ( stupid new shoes )
I'm wearing flip flops now and wondered about popping it so the liquid oozes out
Will it heal quicker that way ?

Maybe check with a pharmacist as I'm nit sure about the risk of infection.

I believe the correct medical advice is not to, because of infection.

However, when I was part of a group doing a very long walk, (15+ miles each day for a week) the prevailing opinion was to pop them because of walking on them the next day. However they had sterile needles (and proper sharps box for disposal) and then put on antiseptic cream and covered with a plaster.
