Severe diarrhoea while pregnant

Hi. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and yesterday had very severe diarrhoea. By severe I mean it was basically coming out like water (sorry for the tmi) and happened approx 5 Yes throughout the day. Other than that I was feeling OK, not sick or anything. I had another bout during the night but woke up this morning feeling OK. I drank a pint of water with an electrolyte tablet in but within 10min of finishing I threw it back up.
I've had a piece of toast since and seems to be ok so far. Now (it's afternoon here) I have just had diarrhoea again.
I'm in a foreign country on a visitor visa so not sure of the protocol on seeing a doc. I mostly feel fine which leads to me to believe it's not food poisoning - I think the vomiting was more pregnancy related rather than illness. Do you think it's safe for me to wait it out another day to see if it passes? I am trying hard to keep my fluids up.

I had a week of gastro enteritis when I was about 20 weeks. I had a mw appointment during that time and she referred me to the doctor, but he just told me to keep my fluids up and sit it out.

Perhaps try drinking smaller amounts frequently rather than a whole pint in one go. If you feel OK I would give it another day of two.

Thank you for you response. When you read online it tells you if you're pregnant to go and see a doctor, but not sure really what they will do at this stage. Also since I'd have to pay to see a private doctor I'm conscious of the fact they are likely to give me unnecessary medication to make more money out of me!
