anyone have a child who has done this and what did you do?
i ask him to stop when i hear him doing it but he tells me he is brushing his teeth - ie he clenches them like he is scrubbing his teeth.
its awful.
my mothers partner then told me he grinded away his baby teeth as a child - his dad was a dentist, but they didnt have guards then.

any ideas welcome

My nearly 1 year old dd is doing this and the noise just makes me cringe and sets my teeth on edge!
She only has 4 tiny teeth.... she won't really grind them away...will she???

my ds (2 1/2) does this sometimes...i just ignore it when he does..

but if you think he's doing it eccessively (?) i would mention it to your dentist (or GP)
