HELP - survival tips when ill, pregnant and looking after 2 kids

can anyone give me some advice/suggestions on how i get through the day.

i've got a cold and flu symptoms which i've been taking paracetmol - cant take anything else since i'm pregnant. also looking after 2 dd's.

how do u get through the day until dh/dp comes home???

You put on cbeebies and lie on the couch while hoping the DDs decide to be nice. Or thats what I did while pg with DD2, semi left ds and dd to it..lol

Nemo is right. If there's nobody to help, TV is the only thing for it!

get dh/dp to some home early and tell work he has a dentist appointment at 4pm, that hed forgotton about.

i did really easy teas like eggy soldiers, and french toast or pasta - some nights they had cereal I was that ill - honestly

or dh would make really large lasagnes or casseroles on the weekend and we'd have leftovers

they watched a bit more tv than they usually did
i called in a lot of favours

Can they do activities that you can what whilst you lie down? Things like playdoh or colouring?

Sorry to hear you're not well.

Can't add anything else to the child care suggestions - cbeebies rules in these situations.

I always use vitamin C & zinc tablets to counteract the worst of cold symptoms (have taken it recently and am also pregnant). Have used it for years and can vouch that it really does work.
