Any dentists around? What is wrong with my baby's tooth?!

13 mths old, her top front tooth has just come through and it has a big split right up the middle! It's a big big tooth, and it seems wonky.

Have googled but just getting lots of stuff about knocking teeth out and broken teeth. Any ideas?

It could be gemination or fusion, my guess - because you are telling us it is a big big tooth - is fusion, google that. It is actually two teeth fused.

Book a dentist visit, so he will be able to xray her upper teeth and tell you about the permanent ones. My understanding is it is less common in permanent tooth than milk one. You need to be taught how to clean it properly because of food debris will accumulate in the line.

My dd has one like that, in the bottom. Dentist thought it was interesting but nothing worrying.
