I had one fitted on Monday, then spent the rest of the day passing out or wanting to be sick. I'm still spotting and feeling very tired and achey like period pains...is that the norm?

Yes, I think that's normal. I didn't have any spotting, but I had cramping for a while. They were like stronger period pains, of the sort that sometimes make you feel sick or faint.

After the initial discomfort, I had absolutely no issues with my Mirena. No noticeable side effects and no spotting or periods - bliss! So hopefully this unpleasantness with all be worth it for you.

Obviously if the pain is really bad, the bleeding gets heavier or anything like that you should seek medical attention. Otherwise snuggle up with a hot water bottle if possible and just wait it out Chocolate

I had one fitted six weeks ago and felt crampy for four days afterwards.
Still spotting!!!

How are you now witsender? I hope you are starting to feel better Flowers

Not too bad, thank you for asking. Flowers

I was just so surprised at how awful infelt in the afternoon, my blood pressure hit the floor and I couldn't leave for half an hour!

I still feel a bit crampy/period pain like, and quite spotty...but better.

The same happened to be afterwards. I suppose it is quite a nasty shock for one's cervix/uterus!

I'm glad you're feeling a little better. I hope it continues to improve Flowers
