Feel like something stuck in my throat

I have a feeling that something is stuck on the left hand side of my throat. A week back, I started to cough up quite a few tonsil stones and just thought that another one was coming out. I tried to probe around to see if I could see something but couldn't.

Now a week later, my throat is so painful (feels like razor blades) and voice is hoarse. Right side lymph node on throat is swollen but I don't have any other cold or flu symptoms.

A few weeks ago - my teeth were really sensitive and my dentist concluded that i was grinding or chewing my cheeks! My right side jaw isn't ordinarily painful, until he pressed on a pressure point within my mouth. aHe has suggested I get a mouth guard made, but at £500 - I'm still umming and arhhing about it and not entirely convinced that I do grind my teeth.

The "stuck" feeling is really irritating, but the pain is unbearable. My ears also hurt.

I have a doctor's appt on Friday - the earliest they have.

I've tried antihistamine (in case it was an allergy), tumeric and honey, cold and flu powder drink, salt gargle to no effect.

Anyone else had the same and can offer any advice?

I assume you're taking paracetamol/ibuprofen/your OTC pain relief of choice?

Yes and also 1 indigestion tablet in case it was acid reflux causing the sensation and pain.

Perhaps an infection if you were poking about?

Also when I get an ear infection my jaw & teeth hurt.

Could be Antiquity. But what is the something stuck in the throat sensation?

Globus hystericus? Google it. Is it worse when you're stressed?

I was once convinced I had a fish bone stuck in my throat, it felt exactly how one might imagine it would feel

One trip to A&E later (sent there by GP), xrays and weird probe thing sent through my nose to investigate my throat, they concluded it was a scratch on the inside of my throat (probably caused by fish bone)

Could it be something like this, an infected scratch?

I've never heard of coughing up tonsil stones - didn't even realise there were such things. From time to time I get a feeling of something stuck on one side of my throat - doesn't move with drinking but moves with the next thing I eat, but then a bit of that gets stuck! I've had it for years - it comes and goes, but not painful. Sounds like yours is a viral infection.

Lower wisdom tooth infection? Acute pericoronitis? Swelling and sore throat are usually on 1side.
Foreign body?Fish bone for e.g.?
Hypothyroidism can cause choking/feeling of something being stuck in the throat; but this tends to develop slowly over time not come on suddenly.

Shitting hell. Do NOT Google tonsil stones.

So to update: I have an infection/allergy. Nasonex and antihistamine prescribed.

Tonsil stones are very common but yes disgusting. I think most people swallow them, but when I feel them at the back of my throat I can get them out and spit them out. I first experienced one around seven years old and freaking out.
