Very short period - anyone experienced this?

Always had 'normal' length periods but for the past three months my period has lasted about a day and a half even though it comes on time.

I am definitely not pregnant and do not take the contraceptive pill.

I have recently had a swab, smear, urine and blood tests which were all fine. However, I am waiting to for a scan because I have recently been suffering with lots of back ache, bloating and stomach pain.

Could the short periods be connected?

Would appreciate any ideas, suggestions from anyone who has experienced similiar.

Thanx

Any chance you could be menopausal or pre?

countrylass · 13/01/2007 22:15

I'm 28 so I hope not! I guess it would be pretty unusual at my age...

could it be your hormones settling down after having a baby?

countrylass · 14/01/2007 20:29

No, my son is 6.

I've looked on the net and I can't really find anything about it which is probably good - it just seems very strange and it is particulary short isn't it?

Could it be a polyp?
If you havent already had one ask to be referred for a transvaginal scan which will show up anything that might be going on
