DS 2.6 has ear infection, he was in pain for 24 hours while was given him paracetamol
to cope with the pain...

he had cold the week before with a bit of fever not too high,,,,the doctor checked his ear and they were red....

The DOctor gave him antibiotic and also a spray to keep clean his nose.....from mucus..

He seems better now........

but he can't have shampoo for 10 days....

and ear plugs after that....during bath/shampoo/swimming---.
all the time...I guess is better that doesn't go swimming for a while...

if it all goes well...I wonder for how long need to use ear plugs....

eye-shield protection.... or what's the best to buy....?

when can I be sure is all finishid....?
after 6 motnhs..,,if never come back...

Shall I stop dairy?

Is it actualy his ear thats infected or the skin in the ear. I suffer with excema inside my ear and have quite often had to use the ear spray as the skin can quickly flair up and become infected. I tried everything to find out what was causing it but to no avail. I now put a blob of sudocreme on the end of a cotton bub and wipe it round really gently just inside my ear every morning.

I don't know whether it would be possible to try that obviously being extra careful not to go too far into the ear. Also, what shampoo and soap do you use - or even what washing powder as his ear is on his pillow and sheets etc...

Furball is not excema it's ear infection!

I mean inside the ear.

my excema is right inside my ear - you can't see it even when I've asked dh to peer in with a torch The doctors never called it excema though they just used to say it was infected until I asked what was infected - the reply was the skin. I used to have otomize spray to clear it up.

He had a cold and mucus so I think the doctor
didn't mean was the skin---but I don't know.........

I know that I need to avoid water in his ear........

but I don't know what earplugs buy and where......for kids

Also I don't think ds 2.6 will let me put earplugs in his ears
