Can you request a second opinion with the NHS?

In a nutshell, I have had two completely conflicting assessments and subsequent advice from two different hospital units (Labour & Delivery and Preterm Surveillance Clinic).

Given it is the NHS can I request another appointment with someone to see if they can clear up the disparities?

You don't have a right (legally) to demand one.

But most of the time if you request one it will be arranged. It depends a bit on who it's with. Having a chat with your GP or possibly midwife about it is probably the best plan and they can then refer you as needed.
