do I need a smear test?

I had a baby 8 months ago. I'm not due for a smear until January 2017. Shall I just wait until then? Not been having any weirdness. I was wondering whether they say to have a smear after birth to try and get women who aren't up to date to go?

If you are due in jan 17 you go then. They won't do one before that for no reason, there wouldn't be any funding for it.
