My dad has extremly painful sinus's (sp??) and after 2 ops (and antibiotics & steriods & nasal sprays!)still has no taste / smell and extreme discomfort. I mentioned that I'd read about someone having a facial to alleviate similar problems. Could you fill me in on your mum's problems. Does the facial really work and is she pain free until her next session comes around. My dad isn't vain or anything & has never had anything like this - but as the discomfort is so bad (consultant has basically told him no cure just have to put up with it!) he prepared to give anything a try.
can you (or anyone)offer any words of wisdom?
Thanks

My BIL had endless sinus problems & it was sorted with reflexology after ENT had tried & failed. May be worth a shot .

Mae1

Sorry, I've only just picked up on this!

What do you want to know?

I'd like to know what your mum had done to relieve her sinus problems - my dad is really interested in finding ways to help his problem.
Thanks

Several years ago her friend trained as beauty therapist, and used my mum as her "guinea pig" My mum noticed that after she had a facial, she would have cold like symptoms for a day or so (runny nose/eyes) but no pressure or pain around her sinuses at all. It was like her sinuses had been drained. So I think she has a facial once every 6/8wks now. She definatley notices the pressure building up if she misses a session, so now has them without fail.
Before she discovered this, it would be nothing for her to be off work for 2/3 days at a time, and she really did not want to go down the surgery route.
Sometimes she can feel her sinsues (in her own words) "starting again", but she knows that the facial will pretty much do the trick.

Hope this helps your dad.
