hysterectomy

i'm having a hysterectomy next week (keyhole) - its a daycase. I'm not too worried but was hoping to hear some positive recovery stories.....

I had a keyhole hysterectomy a few years ago. I stayed overnight at the hospital and had 3 weeks off work. The first couple of days I was on painkillers but after that the pain got much better and I just needed to take things easy. My sister came over to help me out with the school run for the first few days but I was able to walk comfortably after a week, albeit very slowly!

cheers for the reply! i've had 2 c-sections so i'm thinking the recovery can't be any worse that that! fingers crossed
