I have a patch of skin on my face just below the right hand side of my mouth and it has been inflamed and spotty for the past month or so. I'm not sure what is wrong but I have always had fairly good skin, dry if anything and now this.
Does anyone know what it may be? will it go away withut a trip to the docs?

I'm 36 next month and suffer from acne.

Going to see the GP, b/c I'm also losing weight for no reason.

I'd go see a GP.

I probably will but it seems so silly to go when it is a fairly superficial thing. It's just not going away.

I had a horrible couple of patches of acne after I had dd3 (it came out of nowhere)

I found johnsons clean and clear treatment gel fabulous for drying them out - switching shampoos and, finally, using a very gentle washing powder (filetti) and NO fabric conditioner seemed to get rid of them.

the doc gave me antibiotic lotion which stank and didnt help

dermalogica dermal clay cleanser was very good too (in fact I still use it)

Cheers, I will try that, actually dss has some johnsons clean and clear, I shall go and use it now.
