Swollen tongue...

Yesterday while playing with my daughter she accidentally head butted me (Her head hit my chin/neck) and I bit my tongue at the side.

It was bleeding for a little while, has bruised, slightly torn Confused and obviously sore but over the last couple of hours it seems to have swollen where it's uncomfortable to talk. Much to the delight of my OH.

If it's no better by Wednesday I'll go to the doctors but could it be infected?

It could be if you develop a temperature or start to feel unwell or there's anything coming out of the cut.
I would try arnica as it's great for reducing pain. I used to tell people to take it after they'd had their tongue pierced to reduce the swelling!
