ds2 burning up...called doc over 2 hours ago no-one here yet

my ds2 has had a fever for 2 days now.... very lethargic can't wake him he just goes bk 2 sleep.... cpl of blotchy marks on arm but wouldnt say they were spots.... not got a thermometer... but feels like he's on fire... tried calpol no luck...any ideas?

have no nurofen.... tried sponging him but he doesnt seem to cool down.... not used 2 him being poorly he's awake 22 hours a day usually.... not like him at all.....

Am presumming you have checked the marks on his arm disappear with the glass test? If you're not happy, then i would take him to the local A&E dept tbh.

have done the glass test n told doc on phone i wasn't happy.... they don't seem 2 fade.... cant believe they taking this long they said within 2 hours..... have dd in bed too dont wanna get her up n worry her(long story)....

doc said rash is fine..... his temp has come down now just hope it stays that way..... left him sleepin 4 last half hr then woke him when doc came in n he seems a little more responsive.... thank god 4 that
