ok, i know it's nothing, but i'm having a bit of a flapy (so what's new sophable they all ask?)

ds has had a wheeze for a while and this may or may not be dairy intolerance (see other thread), but for last 3 days has had full blown cold cough (dh has this, and as of this morning, my throat feels like sandpaper so i reckon i'm gettting it too).

my sister rang this morning to say that ds's cousin has roseola and we have seen them recently. i've looked it up and it says it starts with cold like symptoms and then rash.

can you tell me more. and tips on bringing fever down. i know i'm useless but we've got to seven months without ds being ill really (apart from bit of eczema)...

calpol will bring the fever down. Ds had roseola which was first of all wrongly diagnosed as measles then as Kawasaki disease by a junior doctor. The Kawasaki/measles bit worried me but it turned out to be roseola which is a common, mild childhood disease. Ds had a temp for a few days, his rash went then he was fine. I dont think it has any serious complications so try not to worry.

My Dd also had roseola at about 1 yr old.
With Dd the rash appeared after all the other syptoms had gone but then that faded in a couplke of days too.

Hope he is better soon.
