Is this normal? and if so when will l feel back to normal. How long should l feel like this?
I had breast reduction 2 weeks ago - l am early 50's. Pre operation l was very healthy and managed on 5-6 hours sleep per night. Since the operation l have been exhausted, foolishly l went back to work after 10 days but am struggling and have to go to bed as soon as l get home in the evening.
I am finding the tiredness depressing and as l have never had a 5 hour General Anaesthetic before l don't know what to expect,
Can anyone reassure me l will get back to what l was before, I was off work today and have been sitting wondering if it acceptable to go to bed for the night since 5pm Hmm

Hi sorry to hear you are feeling rough.I have no experience but my dad has recently had heart surgery (6 hours) and has been absolutely knackered ever since. He's getting quite depressed about it now as it's been 3 weeks
I know he's got low hb and is or iron tablets so I think this may contribute to feeling rubbish
I'm sure such along time under anaesthetic must have some effect.
hope you feel better soon
