Migraines after miscarriage

I just wanted to share this magic cure with you in case you are suffering from these. I had a traumatic miscarriage 2 weeks ago at 9 weeks following ET. I was rushed to A&E, had 4 blood transfusions and left 2 days later with instructions to take iron tablets following surgery. After a couple of days I started getting a banging headache similar to a migraine waking me up every half hour at night and leaving me in agony during the day, despite taking cocodemol. Luckily I could still eat and drink to keep my strength up.

After a week of this I felt like I was going mad! Reading up on forums like this one we found out that it is apparently really common to experience severe headaches after a mc due to the change in hormones and loss of blood and that they last from anywhere between a few days to a few weeks. Someone suggested drinking coffee helps about half of sufferers. I had given up caffeine for about a year and decided to try this. I drank 2 mugs of very strong coffee the next morning and after five minutes the headaches were COMPLETELY GONE!! Couldn't believe it - do try it if you are having these same problems.

If it doesn't work, the only good news is that they will stop - eventually. All the best xx
