Had a Stapetomy last October and suffered nerve damage leaving me with a burnt taste down the left hand side of tongue that after a while was replaced with a numb/sweet taste.
Last couple of days the taste has gone back to a kind of burnt/bitter taste. Could this be the start of my nerve endings repairing themselves? I have had some sharp pain in my ear recently and my follow up appointment is not until the end of April (as they completely cocked up my care), should have been at Christmas.
Please someone tell me this is good news? I know it sounds trivial but I have lived with the most disgusting taste in my mouth for 5 months and can't taste food properly.
Do I need to push for an earlier appointment?
