Mirena removal

I had a mirena coil removed three weeks ago but they couldn't get another one in. I bled a little bit but now I'm having terrible heavy clotty bleeding. I've just had to leave a meal with friends as I could feel it gushing☹ I'm very tired; how long does this go on for?

I had mine out just before Xmas, the first period after (which was about three weeks later) was horrendous, proper clotty gushing. That lasted a full week I'm afraid but then periods since have been back to normal (though normal for me is heavy anyway, just not quite that bad!).

On day 2 but it's wiping me out! I daren't go anywhere for fear of flooding which is why I had the damn thing in to start with.

That first 'withdrawl' bleed after removal is unbelievable. I remember not being able to leave the house.
Once it calmed down though I went back to normal.
