Allergic to Alcohol?

Although I've always suffered from bad hangovers, in the past few years they've gone from bad to worse.

I'm 46. DH seems to,think I have an actual allergy to alcohol as it only takes a couple of measures to make me feel extremely unwell the day after.

Is this possible?

I knew someone who developed an actual allergy (GP confirmed) in that she was violently sick every time she tried to drink. So I guess it's possible this is similar. It could be a symptom of something else though? Ie body not processing as well as it did? Or just getting old!

I can't handle alcohol much when I'm running on empty or stressed. It's just not worth it.

Hmm maybe I should get an allergy test, or just drink less!
