Bad nights sleep

I have a four month old who was an awful sleeper for the first two months but is now pretty good. However over the last month my sleeping is getting worse. At the moment I drift off into a drowsy half asleep state but then wake up after an hour of being in bed. I finally drop off at half 2ish. I then seem to wake 2/3 times before dd has her feed at 5.30 ish.. And then I manage to sleep for a few hours. DD can be a bit noisy but I always managed to sleep through it before. Has anyone else been through similar?

How are you feeling otherwise? Is your mood ok? Do you feel anxiety?

Sometimes they body can get into a vicious cycle of "the less you sleep the less you can sleep" because your body is pumping out adrenaline to cope with the tiredness, use of excess caffeine, general nervousness, etc.

Do you drink caffeine?

You might try really focusing for a few days on cutting back caffeine, resting when you can even during the day (to reduce adrenaline levels), doing as much restful, relaxing things as you can to try to settle your body down to relax and sleep when she is asleep.

Maybe someone else will have better advice. I hope you sleep better soon. Flowers

Thanks snafu that is helpful..I think sometimes I'm intent on tiring myself out in the day so end up rushing around. My general mood is good, some very low level anxiety. I've haven't really even been tired but it's catching up today zzzzz
