Dd has a patch of dark pigmentation on her, er, bits. Anything to be worried about?

It is on the inside lips. I have noticed it before but saw it yesterday and it is quite dark. I dont THINK it has got any bigger. It doesnt look like a mole, its sort of splashy shaped and isn't raised at all, it looks like a tiny stain.

of course last night when tired I was convinced it was cancerous

Can you GET pigmentation there??

I should imagine you can get birthmarks anywhere. Perhaps speak to your HV or GP if you are concerned?

ooh I know I should just go to the gp but dd will be HORRIFIED at the idea so am trying to convince myself I dont need to

yes it looks like a birthmark

I had the idea that there is no way of getting a birthmark on your fanjo...

Could you go on your own? Might reassure you and save DD the embarrassment?

I would get it checked out just to be safe. It sounds like she is not a baby so presunably this has not always been there?
