14 year old son has massive wart on forehead

It's not a flat one, but one with sticky out bits. His fringe covers it but it is pretty nasty looking.

Is it worth using OTC treatment? I know very little about warts so I'm wondering if the treatments works well, or if it would be better to get a GP appointment?

How do you know it is a wart?
Seems a strange place to have one.
I would see the doctor before doing anything to it.

Well, it looks just like one. I googled common warts and it is exactly the same, with the fungal spike things growing out.

It's not very pleasant looking.

I'd still go to the Gp and get advice on treatment. If it's on his face you want to try and avoid a nasty scar - he may not always have a fringe.

My DS has the same! We used Warner on it a couple of times (pharmacist couldn't sell me it but I had some at home anyway, it's not licensed for use on the face). Didn't help but have been soaking a bit of a cotton pad in cider vinegar and putting that on the wart covered in a plaster - just overnight! DS reckons he can see a difference on day 2 so we will see how it goes.

Not sure if you are still reading this U2 but DS got up this morning and his wart had dropped off.

Worth trying the cider vinegar IMO!
