... and it'll probably be all very straightforward - there's a lump behind my left eye that hopefully is very small, insignificant and can stay there quite happily without bothering anyone.

But the paranoid bit of me is thinking he'll tell me it needs to come out - and my eye with it!

Ahem. Just externalising some of my panic...

And I've got to go on my own because dp has to look after ds's (our parents are being very selfishly busy with their own lives!).

So there we go. Feel better for even having typed!

Dottydot - didn't realise this was still ongoing - poor you. Will be sending good vibes your way. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks! (and can I use it as an excuse to eat more chocolate coins??!)

I think it's the perfect excuse. (If you need an excuse, that is). "No, no, just finishing them off to make the place look tidier, DCs" etc .

Dotty, can't believe your parents haven't offered to help out!
Keep positive. Thinking of you.

mummytosteven · 01/01/2007 21:34

best wishes, hope it's something really teensy and trivial.

Dottydotthehalls · 01/01/2007 21:37

My Mum's working and dp's parents are retired - leaving the kids with them at 8.30am is just too early these days..! But to be fair I have down played it - said I'll be fine, which I will be - just having last minute jitters!

Meanwhile will keep eating chocolate coins and am sure it will be teensy and trivial - will be able to post tomorrow with lots of about how trivial it is and how daft I am to be thinking about it!

good luck

Dottydotthehalls · 02/01/2007 10:44

Good news! The lump's there, but it's minding its own business and while it's not growing the consultant's happy to leave it there! It's in a bit of an awkward place, so trying to get it out might damage my eye, so best thing is to leave it alone. Next appt. in a year's time!! Just have to try not to worry about it for 12 months now..!
