CT scan

I need to get a CT scan asap. I want to get it privately. Is there anywhere that offers private CTs...that anyone else has used and can recommend? I just called bupa and they need a letter of referral.

The reason I need to know about private options is because I just had surgery in USA (big stressful!!) and coming back to the UK in a week. I need a CT but would like to be able to get that asap if possible, if I can afford it...rather than wait on the GP. thanks netters!! :)

A CT scan has to be prescribed by a doctor, so you can't just request one. If your surgeon in the US considers you need one as followup, then they need to put that in the letter informing your GP as to what happened. Your GP can then do a private referral for you if there is a waiting list
