It is the most incredibly painful thing ever ever ever!! I haven't eaten properly since the wednesday before Xmas and now I have an ear infection and a slight worry that I am addicted to painkillers!!!

I would rather go through child birth again and that was no picnic either time!! I just really couldn;t quite believe how much it hurt - at the time and for the next 10 days - and I am quite a toughy!!!

Yes, it is not pleasant when you have it done as an adult is it? I had mine out when I was in my twenties and remember the pain well! Hope you feel better soon.

Have you had recurrent bouts of tonsillitis then? I've just had my first full blown tonsillitis and had a temp of 103 from Boxing Day monring until Thursday when the abs kicked in and still have no appetite although not so painful now. Haven't felt so ill for a very long time so am fearful of recurrance.
So was interested to know why yours have been removed - presumably to stop repeated infections? Sorry to hear that you've felt so ill, particularly over christmas.
