I've had this a couple of weeks but it's only just clicked this is a possibility. It's not itchy, there are no other marks like this anywhere else. Could it be? NHS website says I can use anti fungal cream and I have some canestan in the cupboard, shall I whack it on and see what happens? Or is it definitely NOT ringworm?

I've had ringworm and boy did it itch.
Yours does look like ringworm but without the itch I'm not sure. The Canestan might well help or athletes foot cream is good. Ringworm can be very persistent and I needed steroid cream and anti fungal drugs from the doctor and I'm not convinced it has totally gone.
I would see your GP and get it checked out as it can spread like crazy too.

Just called my GP and they aren't taking appointments until next week Hmm would a walk in centre deal with it or should I just wait in the hope of getting an appointment sometime this year?

Agree. Looks like it. We're in the midst of it here too. DD has it (as do our new cats who started it). Hers didn't itch. Canesten should work, also tea tree oil.

You need to really blitz clothing etc. Really hot wash bedding and towels.

And if anyone has any more tips I'd love to hear! We are having trouble getting rid.

I think you can just go to the pharmacy to get the cream.

It does look like ringworm, and it doesn't always itch. You don't need a doctor's appointment, you can buy the cream direct from the pharmacy - and in fact you could show them and ask their opinion. I wouldn't use Canestan, because I have heard before that it's not always very effective.

Looks like it to me.

I had a patch just recently - on my chest.

It was very itchy, then crusted over.

GP gave me Canesten 1% - applied twice a day. It took over two weeks to clear but is gone now.

Mine was a little itchy - but only in the shower.

Just go to a pharmacy and show the chemist. They'll sort you out there. I wouldn't bother with the GP.

Visited the pharmacy and they agreed it's ringworm. I've got the cream so hopefully it'll be gone soon. My kids usually end up in my bed most nights but I always wear pjs (it's on my tummy). Are they very likely to get it?
