Tooth ache agony

I've got a hole in one of my teeth and pain in two others, booked in for 3 fillings tomorrow. However the pain is unreal... And I'm on bloody night feeds. HELP!!! Or at least distract me from wanting to get a pair of pliers and pull my teeth out of my head.

Have you taken any pain relief?

Have you got any cloves? Chewing one with the bad tooth is supposed to deaden the pain. Nevertried it though. Toothache is grim.
Having root canal re-filled tomorrow so will be with you in spirit op.

Taking codiene but somehow I'm still feeling that 'cold' feeling in the root. Arghhh!!!

Oooohhh I remember my root canal like it was yesterday...makes me shudder just thinking about it! I don't have cloves, the only thing I can think of is a microwave rice bag thingy on my jaw?

I had a root canal refilled 2 weeks ago too - much better now!
I found nurofen to be the best for toothache but can you take it? I know lots of ppl can't.

I'm not great with medicine is nurofen the same as ibuprofen ? Because I have some of that in the cupboard I could try. Check us out with our rotten teeth eh

I'm wallowing in self pity with an infected wisdom tooth :( tooth ache is the bloody worse - you have my deepest sympathies (extended to all you other poor souls also suffering!)

Yes nurofen is the brand and it contains ibuprofen. You can take with codeine and paracetamol. Triple whammy should at least take the edge off.

I'm just hoping medicine doesn't make me too drowsy or loopy! Here's hoping kids

Hope your dentist gets it sorted - I'm in on Tuesday, but they've told me its just to have a look and they'll book treatment in later in the week If he looks and tells me "oh that looks bad, best book another appointment" he may have a grown woman having a princess tantrum in his office - I'm really not handling this well/maturely at all! have debating trying the comic door and string trick if all else fails

Don't blame you moose! I waited two weeks from first appointment to getting my 3 fillings today. Just got back... Had some bad news probably going to need root canal again and the tooth is the first molar so the crown will be metal unless I pay for white... But you can definitely see it when I smile! No way am I having that done.

I have toothache, to call it 'ache' doesn't even begin to convey the actual pain, it is horrendous. Emergency appointment today confirmed a hole in a back tooth that will require root canal treatment or extraction once the infection that is there is resolved. No way on earth am I having root canal treatment so extraction it is.
To make matters even worse now I also have hideous period pain, I am currently taking paracetamol and codeine combined, and nurofen, but so far it doesn't appear to be alleviating either of the pains
