Can anyone recommend a quiet humidifer or heater?

DD (9 months) has been suffering badly with persistent night coughs. Very considerately, she doesn't tend to wake up fully, but it certainly keeps me awake. The other night she was coughing from 3.30am to 6am.

Last night I left the central heating on by accident and she was much much better (just the odd cough, no major coughing fit). So I think a little portable heater would be good for her room. We have three of these already but they are a fan (too noisy), a halogen (too bright) and a convection (too noisy ('clangy')). Can anyone recommend a good option to come on in the small hours without waking DD - an oil-filled radiator perhaps - are they silent?

I would also like to try a humidifier but have heard that they tend to be noisy too. Can anyone recommend a good silentish model? I have used a plug-in vaporizer but I think that makes her cough worse for some reason (but does help if her nose is congested).

We have this
one for the nursery
It's not too noisy - white noise helps them sleep anyway

Got it in argos but they don't seem to have them anymore
