how do you clean a 'bottom' properly?

Regular name-changer...

Is there a proper way to clean a bottom? Or is it as simple as wiping with tissue and then with water when you shower?

I hike a lot and get sweaty when I do. Sometimes the sweat in that area smells worse than it should... Any tips?Smile

Fear not! I am not scruffy!

As I said, I do clean regularly! I only smell a bit after excessive sweating! I just wanted to check I was doing everything right!

Sorry but you are either having us on or you are seriously deluded.

It's just not possible to smell your own anus and it won't smell unless you have left a load of poo stuck around it. And I mean a load.

If you mean the area between your buttocks, generally, then as everyone has said, just have a shower.

Sorry to be blunt but you started the conversation.

goadygoat · 17/02/2016 19:43

Excellent, then I guess my question is answered!

I am honestly not a troll. If I was, I would have put this in AIBU...

If you go hiking and sweat, then surely you will have a shower anyway - regardless of whether you think your bum smells? Bums don't smell. Poo smells. Stale sweat anywhere smells. Bums are not unique.

hiddenhome2 · 17/02/2016 19:55

You get your pet dog to do it for you of course Smile

Footle · 17/02/2016 20:02

Or get a bum gun as used in Asia ( Little Squirt in Oz I believe ) or a bidet.

LadyDeadpool · 17/02/2016 20:05

Pull the shower head down, seperate bum cheeks and spray cool-ish water directly on anus. '

You can get bidets now that don't even need plumbing in. Smile

Well done for asking, not everyone knows everything automatically and it takes big guts to ask embarrassing questions especially when people are so spiteful.

donajimena · 17/02/2016 21:15

lady I guess some of us are incredulous other than spiteful. Wipe arse, if its not an easy wipe then shower. Same as any part of your body.

Jesus! How are you an adult without knowing how to wash your arse?*

Parkingnevereasy · 18/02/2016 22:00

OP I know exactly what you mean, arse sweat smells worse, you can tell if you get it on your hands while using the loo or showering. But it's only in your bum crack and not wafting around the rest of your body.

Those posters who are saying how did you get to this age without knowing how to wipe your own arse just won't admit to sniffing!

I can't say for sure but I assume unless somebody sniffs up close it can't be detected, it's not like underarm sweat which is aired while waving your arms around,

I think a good soaping up in the shower will be enough :)
