dd3 has high temp and bad cough.

anyone else child have this? dd1+2 have the cough but dd3 is burning hot.

Does she usually get high temps when she's ill?

Some children just have to feel a bit off-colour and their temp spikes - DS1 is like this.

Poor thing - hope she gets better soon.

usually its dd2 whose temp spikes up suddenly. not dd3.

My under 2 yo had this last week, kept spitting out the calpol which didn't help
Temp didn't last long although the cough is still lingering

If its any help...my three have had exactly this.
DD2 (16months) had a high temp, coughing, wheezing..she coughed til she was sick on most occassions. I took her to the doctors before xmas and she had antibiotics, as she had developed a chest infection and had an ear infection too. The antibiotics worked wonders but by boxing day her temp was back up and she was still coughing badly. The antibiotics had all gone by then too. She is still coughing and wretching but her temp is back to normal. She broke out in a rash today...my friend who lives nearby is a nurse and she thinks the rash is the tale end of a rather nasty viral infection.

DD1 (5 years) had a hacking cough..and very bad cold symptoms, she had a high temp for a couple of days over xmas. She is pretty much back to normal now.

DS (3 years) had a bad cough, he was sick and had a high temp for about three days over xmas. He still has the cough but is looking much better.

Only my littlest needed antibiotics...I alternated calpol and nuerofen every two hours with the other two.

maybe get her checked out incase she is trying to fight other infections such as ear or chest??
DD2 was very sleepy and floppy, and just wanted to sit and cuddle.
