Has anyone else had a lo with diarrohea for 5 days??

Is this normal? My 24 week old has had diarrohea (sp?) for 5 days now and it doesn't seem to be getting any better at all. He was also vomiting at the beginning but that seems to be settling down and he is feeding ok (though still not upto full volume) now but there is just this damn diarrohea - the doctor says that it can take up to 10-15 days to get back to normal but just wondered if this was the case (not that I wish to doubt my GP ) - would be grateful for other's experiences.

My 7m old had diarrohea and or vomiting for 13 days a couple of months ago. She was verging on being admitted to hosp for oral rehydration.

I would suggest that you keep an eye on potential dehydration (dry lips, dry nappies, sunken soft spot etc). If it was me I would head back to GP 3-4 days after your last visit if it is no better - just to make sure he/she knows it is no better & can double check for dehydration.

Thanks for the reassurance - planning on going back to doctors on Tues if no better.
